Celsa Group

The Finnish forerunner in laser technology, Cajo Technologies, has been chosen as one of the winners in Innovation program called INGENIUM, organized by capital steel company Celsa Group.

Celsa Group is one of the biggest steel companies in Europe, and it was their goal to look for outside talents for proposals, solutions and ideas based on new technologies related to Industry 4.0 (IoT, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, 3D Printing, etc.) that can give a full or partial response to the problems and challenges posed by Celsa Group. According to the company, the digitalisation of the industry must not only be based on technology, but also on good ideas about how to use them.

One of the critical challenges the company is facing is related to traceability in supply chain. Cajo Technologies´ innovative laser traceability solution was one of the solutions selected as a winner. The selected companies, within the framework of the initiative of Ingenium, will work in the pilot project for 6-8 months with professionals of Celsa Group.

Cajo Technologies produces laser marking solutions for different industrial sectors, e.g. metal industry, product branding, cable and cable harness production, and medical industry. Cajo´s solution enables all the traceability markings, including 2D markings like data matrix and QR codes, on almost all the materials even in micro-size. The marking solution can be integrated to customer´s production line. The company has become well-known from their patented laser technology, which allows for example the colors on stainless steel with no additives or pigments being used.
